About us

Celsion Brandschutzsysteme GmbH is one of the leading fire protection companies and has been manufacturing and developing innovative and individual fire protection solutions since 2001, taking into account the relevant building technology and legal requirements.

The protection of escape routes and ensuring functional integrity in the event of fire is our top priority. Through our involvement and active participation in various working groups and standards committees, we see ourselves not only as a manufacturer of products but also as a customer-oriented service provider. During the planning phase, we offer innovative solutions that are individually coordinated with planners and architects to ensure a smooth construction process.

In 2007 we were able to offer our customers our first modular fire protection system (CMG) as a slip-on enclosure (overbox) for existing safety related units.

Among others, we have accompanied several research projects for the protection of lithium-ion batteries since 2017 and have developed various safety solutions for batteries over the years.

Celsion develops, designs and produces fire protection enclosures such as floor-standing and wall-mounted enclosures, fire protection partitions, overboxes, inspection doors and fire-resistant partition systems, safety solutions for batteries, modular systems as well as tunnel systems and IT systems for a wide variety of areas.

Company history

2001

Celsion Brandschutzsysteme GmbH was founded in Pfungstadt (near Frankfurt, Germany) in 2001. Several years later, in March 2008, most of the company moved to the vicinity of Bautzen, Germany. From that location, Celsion developed into a leader in the field of fire protection. Two years later, the administration department was relocated to the Bautzen West industrial estate, which is ideally located in terms of infrastructure. In April 2011, a new technical office was established in Leipzig, Germany, adding a further site.

2002

Our first production plant was put into operation in 2002. In addition to production and metalworking departments, it now also produces its own pallets. Standard Celsion products such as wall-mounted and floor-standing fire enclosures, overboxes, attachable wall-mounted doors, small distribution boards, plinths and much more are produced in our factories, along with our customised solutions.

2013

In June 2013, our second production plant was opened at our administrative headquarters in Bautzen. The large production hall is over 1700 m² in size and is equipped with a high-bay storage section. Besides standard systems, we also produce customised special-purpose systems, hazardous substance cabinets, fire protection pictures, small distribution boards and other fire protection systems.

2017

The office in Munich was opened in 2017. This not only serves as a technical office, but also includes a training room for planners and architects. In our new rooms, training courses on maintenance and regulations such as MVV TB, MBO can be held on over 150 m². This gives us one more opportunity to personally show our customers and sales partners various solutions and approaches in the area of fire protection and to introduce them to our products and solutions.

2017

In spring 2017, a new, important site was established in the heart of Dresden, Germany. It has served as our headquarters since the beginning of 2019.

2023

In spring 2023, our training centre in Mainz, Germany, was completed. It offers a wide range of training opportunities thanks to the fire protection systems installed on site, and also serves as a field sales office.

Seminar rooms

Bautzen

Through our active work in professional associations and our seminars for planners and architects, as well as training courses in installation methods, maintenance and servicing, we have the opportunity to share information about the current status of standardisation and legislation. Further we can point out solutions and approaches in the field of fire protection. Our seminar rooms at the administration site in Bautzen are the perfect basis for this activity. There, we can show customers and other interested parties our products and explain how they work, live in our showroom.

Spreetal

In recent years, the old cultural centre in Spreetal has been converted into a modern training centre with 400 m² of space. Its large sanitary units, and of course barrier-free facilities, make it possible to organise seminars even maintaining the minimum distancing requirements during the Covid epidemic. It can also be used for meetings and family celebrations; these must be booked in advance. Part of the building has even been converted into modern flats.

Munich

Due to its central location, our office in Munich is also ideal for conducting training courses and seminars for smaller groups.

Mainz

Our training centre in Mainz was completed at the beginning of 2023 and offers a wide range of options for training courses about products and installation methods.
