Verification of fitness for use

For Celsion Brandschutzsysteme GmbH Celsion Brandschutzsysteme GmbH Celsion Brandschutzsysteme GmbH has been developing innovative fire protection solutions. The product spectrum ranges from fire protection enclosures and partition wall systems to effective barriers for IT, systems, voice alarm systems, in-building radio and tunnels. As the developer, producer and designer of our products, we carry out various fire tests at national and international test centres an almost every month and international inspection through. Product development is based on the regulations of each country and may be different depending on how the product is used. Most systems comply with the requirements of DIN 4102 Newer systems are based on the requirements of EN 1364, EN 1366 and DIN EN 13501.The corresponding test reports and classification reports form the basis for each appraisal/approval in line with the relevant field of application. To verify that fire protection enclosures are fit for use, a national technical approval (abZ) or a general construction technique permit (aBG) is usually required, issued by the Deutsches Institut für Bautechnik (German Institute of Structural Engineering, DIBt). Whether or not it is possible to deviate slightly from the national technical approval or construction technique permit must be determined in each case. This is based, among other things, on confirmation by the material testing institutes, or expert evaluations, indicating that a deviation from the approval can be considered insignificant. If project-specific requirements make it necessary to deviate further from the verification of fitness for use, it may be necessary to apply for project-related approval (ZiE) by the relevant supreme building authority.

In our tender texts, you will find the certificates verifying fitness for use or the classification and test reports that are valid for each product series. Due to the wide variety of product designs, e.g. involving different ventilation systems, cable entries, size adaptations and the type of fastening required for solid walls or lightweight partition walls (which must be determined in each case), for most of our products the certificates verifying fitness for use can only be indicated on a project-specific basis on our website or in our general print media. If reports and appraisals are required to verify fitness of use, we therefore ask you to request them along with the quotation on a project-by-project basis.

We will then put together the documentation required for the fire protection enclosure in consultation with the persons involved in the construction. Please also see the information on this subject in the quotations.

On a project-by-project basis, based on local conditions, it is also possible to obtain an approximate calculation of the overtemperature to determine how well the circuit integrity of the installed system is maintained. This can be used to determine a possible temperature curve in normal operation for freely configurable distribution boards, as well as a possible temperature curve (for closed ventilation systems) in the case of fire, taking into account the situation on site. During a test by an authorised expert, the calculation can be used to prove the circuit integrity of each project.
